So as you may have noticed Kimmo was nice enough to add a twitter box for me below.
Unfortunately it seems that the twitter team doesn't give two shits about the embedded twitter that it's kind of broken when it comes to adding it to your page. For instance we can't have both of ours on the same page at once.
I would still like to note there are a couple t-shirts here in my Abode that were returned or international orders who haven't contacted me yet. If you ordered Blastwave shirts back in September (yeah that long) please do contact me if you have not received it. Please do, I want to get these shirts to you guys.
And now I leave you with this.

Like predicted, I was busy the past few weekends working on an animation for school. Didn't even get it near finished but still. Calculated my schedule a bit off.
Here is how far I got it. Now I'm supposed to finish it this week.

If anyone was there and saw the Rock Band stage performance during the final ceremony, that was me on stage playing guitar. I was nervous as shit. There was what, like 3000 people watching me?
Fun times, definitely, and a great convention. That's why I've been away.

So this is being kinda hectic.
Todays explanation is: I was spending the weekend with family due to easter thing and pulsar was at some con and today his phone didn't really work so he couldn't get a script to me so I made this little panel out of a sketch I made sometime ago to be the banner of my future portfolio page.
I also have an animation project to do in the next few weeks so probably even more missed updates! :D
Oh hey! A new comic! :O

I was sick on the weekend, so comic was even later!
We didn't have a page last week.
The pinnacle thing appears once all pages are done.
Did you hear?

TGSA is like a year old!
Anyways. I think the update date should be switched to monday. I seem to always finish the pages on monday.
We might start experimenting with stuff a bit more from now on. Which basically was the point of tgsa in the first place.
This page here... I really didn't have a clue what I was gonna do with it at first, so it's a bit of a weird mix of different ways of doing things.

Probably should say this now instead on monday. I'm away for the weekend again and doubt I'll get a comic done. Might do something on monday again, but doubt it.
King Jeremy The Wicked + TGSA Fan Meet SakuraCon
Posted by Mr. Pulsar on March 2, 2009, 23:47 EST
This month Pearl Jam's "Ten" comes out on Rock Band, I'm pretty stoked.
Next TGSA Fan meet will be at SakuraCon here in Seattle-land during April 10-12th. I will be there, and if you even wanna plan further ahead I will be at PAX09 for great justice and I'm gonna try and bribe Kimmo with an airplane ticket to come for PAX as well.
Anyways, yeah, I'll be at SakuraCon. If you're going to be there and would like to meet up, drop me a line:
mrpulsar (at) gmail.com
I'll be participating in the Rock Band tournament with my good friend and I think if they have a guitar hero tournament I'll be in that as well.
One thing to note about SakuraCon is that it has a no minor (without supervision) policy, so anyone under 18 that wants to meet, you'll have to be bringing your parents. Just don't tell them what it is that we do.
I'm Plugging An Awesome Band

I was in the car with my roommate last week and when she was about to kick me out of the car this band was playing. Ignoring her telling me to get out of this car I began to jam, and I fell in love.
On the walk home (Thanks, Kat) I had much time to think over the mystical rhythms I had just endured and I was pretty happy about it. I went ahead and bought their album "Love & Gasoline EP" and I was pretty blown away. I don't know much about the band but they seem to be pretty local to Seattle. I apparently met some of the members at Thanksgiving Dinner. I remember my roommate going bonkers and fangirlish over one of their bandmates so now it all makes sense.
Needless to say I'm pretty inspired over the album, lots of emotion in it and great mixing for what seems to be self-produced. (Don't worry, if I'm wrong my roommate will just send me an angry email and I'll post the correction on here.)
So if I could ask one thing of all the viewers of TGSA out there, I'd ask to give this band a shot. All their tracks on the EP are pretty great, and I'd recommend "Distance = Danger" the most. It's pretty god damn groovin' if you know what I mean.
According to their MySpace they have a show here in Seattle tomorrow, which I'd like to go to but I hear most of their gigs are 21+, soooooo.... fuck.
There you have it, check out Friday Mile for great justice. I'm gonna go hit up my music studio now because I'm pretty inspired. Speaking of which Star Ennui should be releasing our first album in the summer, hopefully. I'm aiming for that, so far I have a bit of tracks produced without the vocals added in, as well as a couple of my last instrumentals as a solo artist.

1.Austin's roommate did not kick him out of her car, it was added for dramatic effect.
2. Austin's roommate also believes Austin is very egotistical when posting news on TGSA, so if you agree/disagree/what have you, email at mrpulsar (at) gmail.com giving your opinion and they will be promptly forwarded to Kat.
3. There is no Editor.

Pulsar mentioned FPS!
And since theres always alot of debate about this and I feel like I can educate people now!
People always quote the "human eye can't see more than 24 frames per second" in these debates. That is a number used for non-interactive video and assumes there is motion blur used... and means that is the basic amount at which motion looks fluid. Humans can react just fine to interactive videos (like games) that show far above 100 frames per second. After 60 fps the difference starts to be so small that it doesn't really make sense to go over that, as a result most console games are optimised for 60fps. The difference between 30 fps and 60 fps is really noticable if you're even a bit used to games and therefor is a valid point to make.
I've heard people talk of military tests that said the 200fps is the actual limit of the human nervious system. I'd now link an article to this but I'm too lazy to find it.

Todays rant: "Intel vs. AMD, the ongoing pointless nerd battle."
I recently built a Phenom II system, running 4GB of RAM and a 8800GTX. It plays everything I want it to, and pretty good I might add.
I'm curious though, so much shit is being talked about the Phenom II. I mean shit, I know Intel is better but like, why such hate?
The comparison I was getting was taking the Phenom II and the i7 head to head at a game like Left4Dead. The i7 running it around 130FPS while the Phenom II running it at around 90FPS. So people automatically assume the Phenom II is trash? Really? 90FPS? How much crack can you smoke in one day? :|
Considering the pricing between the two I'd say thats about right. I can afford a Phenom II with my income. I can't afford an i7 and I'm not paying $1000 for an 'ExtreeeeeEMMMEE' edition that does maybe 20% better overall.
I rest my case there, I don't feel like getting too in to it.
