All special effects in this Halloween special done by George Lucas.

So how has everyone been? It's been awhile since I've posted any news. Feel like doing another round of 'Send me an email'? Go ahead! Tell me about yourself, or if we've talked in the past, tell me how you've been.

I recently got my copy of Guitar Hero: World Tour from Neversoft and I have to say, it's great. Well, on guitar its great, and only about 8-9 songs.

That's the weird part about World Tour, it's guitar engine is, I believe, the best engine we've seen in a guitar game so far. But that is brought down a little by poor song selection and all the other instruments just feel half-assed. Extended 'Freeplay' sections are gonna be the end of the leaderboards for vocals, drums, and the full band as people have already found ways to exploit them.

BUT, with all that being said, the game is called 'Guitar Hero', I wouldn't expect any less. I just want to pretend that Guitar Hero 3 never happened, the game was a disaster.

Now we take a look at Rock Band 2. I had a Harmonix employee tell me that the strumming problem (there is a input limit in the game) had been fixed. He clearly lied to me on that, as the games engine still has a huge problem taking in a lot of extremely fast strums at once. See Green Grass and High Tides second solo for that one. But the thing about Rock Band is, Harmonix knows how to make a game. The band play on Rock Band is largely superior to the band play in World Tour. But the shitty deal is that World Tour will still be the tournament standard due to Activisions piling of money on top of tournaments.

Okay, I'm done with that.

Oh and uh, hey Morr, Happy Birthday!
